The new keyboard has cantilevered hinges for viewing angles up to 130 degrees, and a backlit keyboard with scissor mechanism (goodbye, much-hated butterfly keys).

It also supports a Magic Keyboard accessory, which adds a trackpad that enables a cursor. It has an A12Z Bionic chip, a second rear camera for ultrawide photos, better microphones, and the previously-mentioned lidar sensor. The new model features the same button-less front design with Face ID, with an 11-inch screen starting at $799 and a 12.9-inch screen starting at $999. The new tablet is the most recent upgrade since Apple released the third-generation iPad Pro in October 2018. The company's latest consumer product is the first to feature a lidar sensor – although it's not the company's first project to use the sensor – and it's set to enable all-new augmented reality and 3D sensing features. And, as always, I would be happy to lend my services as a beta tester.Apple launched a new iPad Pro Tuesday, and it features an all-new sensor. So anything, a hint, would be appreciated. An AR visualisation of 3D models would be useless for my purposes so if that is what you are working on, that would be a big, big disappointment. The staff at Shapr has not given any information on which it is. I assumed (or hoped) it would be a LIDAR assisted building tool. Having looked closely at the infamous Apple ad for Shapr3D (which made me go buy the iPad Pro for that matter) I am a little bit concerned if what the ad showed was actually simply an AR placement and occlusion plugin for regular Shapr3d. So if Shapr3d could be a bridge between actual, high quality 3D geometry and real-time scanning, that would be a total gamechanger. But as we all know the quality is unuseable in its current state as anything but a reference. I have been working more and more with LIDAR to scan medium to large rooms and buildings, and in terms of speed and ease of use it is extremely impressive. Some hint on what the status and possible functionality of a LIDAR integration to Shapr would be a great inspiration.
